Demand Analyst – Temporary Contract
Location: North Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary Contract
Pay: $33.50–$50.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Onsite

Sapphire Recruitment is partnering with an established manufacturing company in North Syracuse, NY, seeking a detail-oriented Demand Analyst for a temporary contract opportunity.

This position supports daily supply chain and production planning activities, including reporting, order management, material shortage tracking, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel, organized, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple departments to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily reports covering customer orders, shipments, forecasts, and production planning.
• Review incoming orders, verify material availability, and assist with determining delivery commitments.
• Track material shortages, identify potential delays, and communicate issues to appropriate teams.
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, planning, and customer service departments.
• Analyze large data sets, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate reporting.
• Utilize Excel and ERP systems to retrieve, organize, and manage planning information.
• Proactively identify issues, coordinate follow-up, and assist with operational problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas.
• Experience in supply chain, planning, purchasing, expediting, inventory, operations, or related fields preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments.
• ERP/MRP experience preferred; Oracle experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to manage recurring tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accuracy.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.

Recent graduates with a supply chain or related degree and strong Excel skills are encouraged to apply.
