Press Brake Operator

Sapphire Recruitment is hiring a Press Brake Operator for Briggs & Stratton in Sherrill, NY. This position is part of the Fabrication Department and involves operating manufacturing equipment, reading blueprints, and producing quality parts according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake and other fabrication equipment.

• Perform basic machine program call-ups and adjustments.

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.

• Manufacture parts according to established procedures and quality standards.

• Inspect finished products for accuracy using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

• Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.

• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.

• CNC experience is a plus.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to stand throughout the shift and regularly lift 25–50 lbs, with occasional lifting up to 70 lbs.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
