Sapphire Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing, innovative manufacturer in CNY to hire a Controls Engineer.
This direct hire opportunity will focus on the design, programming, development, and implementation of custom automated manufacturing, assembly, and test equipment.

Job Duties:
Electrical Controls Design
Design electrical control systems, panels, schematics, wiring layouts, and BOMs for custom automation equipment.
Develop electrical specifications and support control panel assembly and design improvements.
PLC, HMI & Robotics Programming
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs for automated assembly and test equipment.
Program industrial robots and electric actuators to support new equipment designs.
Maintain software documentation, change logs, and programming standards.
Equipment Development & Commissioning
Support equipment builds, installation, testing, startup, and commissioning.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, wiring, and programming issues during equipment development.
Participate in equipment design reviews, validation, and transfer to production.
Production Support & Continuous Improvement
Troubleshoot and improve existing automated manufacturing equipment.
Implement engineering changes and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams on technical improvements.
Develop equipment documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and maintenance training materials.
Education & Experience:
AAS or BS in Engineering or related technical field; BS preferred.
2+ years of controls/automation experience, including relevant coursework.
Knowledge of PLC programming, ladder logic, and HMI systems.
Ability to read/create electrical schematics and troubleshoot complex industrial equipment.
Industrial robotics and automated assembly/test equipment experience preferred.
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and IEC electrical standards is a plus.
