Tool Room Attendant - Assembly Technician
First Shift | $23–$33/hour DOE

Sapphire Recruitment is hiring a Tool Room Attendant - Assembly Technician for a first-shift manufacturing opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, comfortable working around machining tools and equipment, and able to support both tool room operations and light assembly work.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and track tools, gauges, inserts, fixtures, and shop supplies.

• Issue and receive tooling while keeping inventory records accurate.

• Inspect returned tools for wear or damage and coordinate sharpening or replacement when needed.

• Receive incoming materials, verify shipments, and restock supplies.

• Keep the tool room clean, organized, and properly stocked.

• Assemble products according to work instructions, perform basic testing, and prepare finished assemblies for shipment.

• Support safe handling and storage of shop supplies, tooling, and fluids.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2+ years of experience in manufacturing, a machine shop, tool room, or industrial environment.

• Familiarity with machining tools and terminology such as inserts, collets, tool holders, drills, taps, and abrasives.

• Comfortable using computers and inventory-tracking systems.

• Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Manual mill and lathe experience is a plus.
