Production Supervisor (68–88K)

We have multiple Production Supervisor opportunities available with an established manufacturer in the Sherrill, NY area.

2nd Shift Production Supervisor: Monday – Friday, 2:30PM – 10:30PM
3rd Shift Production Supervisor: Sunday – Thursday, 10:30PM – 6:30AM

  • Supervise teams of approximately 10–15 production employees.
  • Work within a CNC metal fabrication environment supporting a broad portfolio of manufactured products.
  • Broad responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and employee development.

Your Role:
  • Supervise shift production operations within a CNC metal fabrication environment, including press brake/forming, rolling, or laser cutting operations.
  • Lead and develop Machine Operators while driving accountability for safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and teamwork.
  • Coordinate the effective use of equipment, employees, facilities, and resources to achieve production objectives.
  • Troubleshoot production issues involving delays, material shortages, equipment repairs, staffing, and other obstacles impacting output.
  • Review production schedules and coordinate employee assignments to maximize equipment utilization and production efficiency.
  • Partner with Engineering and other departments to improve equipment, processes, safety, production, and overall product quality.
  • Use production data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction, efficiency, and productivity gains.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities including coaching, employee development, performance management, work assignments, interviewing, and hiring.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience, including previous experience supervising employees in a production environment, or 1+ year of manufacturing experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, production processes, and quality standards.
  • Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment preferred.
  • Experience with CNC equipment, press brakes, laser cutting, or similar manufacturing machinery is helpful but specific press brake operating experience is not required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and employee-development skills.
