Inventory Specialist

Location: Syracuse, NY Pay: $23.00–$28.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (hours may vary) 

Sapphire Recruitment is partnering with an established pharmaceutical manufacturer in Syracuse, NY to find an experienced Inventory Specialist to support its maintenance and manufacturing operations.

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ordering parts and components, and ensuring materials are available to support production, equipment repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain computerized inventory records for maintenance parts, components, and facility supplies.

• Order necessary parts and materials to support manufacturing and facility operations.

• Track inventory transactions and maintain accurate records of parts and supplies.

• Support maintenance teams by ensuring critical parts are available for repairs and preventive maintenance.

• Follow established inventory control procedures and maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

• Coordinate inventory activities and communicate with maintenance, production, and management teams.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of inventory control or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Associate degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience using computerized inventory management and order-tracking systems.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and database applications.

• Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and cGMP practices preferred.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal departments.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities associated with inventory management.
