Quality Control Sample Technician

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a Quality Control Sample Technician for a growing manufacturing company in the Syracuse area. This position is responsible for collecting, transporting, tracking, and preparing samples for quality control testing while supporting laboratory operations across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect and sample raw materials and excipients for Quality Control testing
• Prepare and package samples for shipment to external laboratories
• Transfer samples and materials between manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and the QC laboratory
• Maintain accurate chain-of-custody documentation for samples and materials
• Place and retrieve stability samples from designated storage locations
• Apply QA/QC release labels to approved materials
• Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and Materials Management teams
• Assist QC Laboratory management and laboratory staff as needed
• Perform various administrative and record-keeping duties
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
• Previous manufacturing, laboratory, courier, or sample-handling experience is preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
