Trade Marketing Analyst
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $27.00–$28.00/hour
Employment Type: Contract with potential for permanent hire

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a Trade Marketing Analyst for an onsite contract opportunity in Oriskany, NY.

This role supports a national sales team by analyzing sales, customer, product, promotional, and market data and turning it into useful business insights. The position will also support reporting, presentations, promotional analysis, planning, and customer initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales, customer, product, category, promotional, profitability, and market data
• Identify trends, risks, performance drivers, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and maintain Excel reports, dashboards, presentations, and analytical tools
• Support customer presentations, account reviews, internal meetings, and annual planning
• Evaluate promotional programs, including sales impact, ROI, and overall effectiveness
• Track trade spending, promotional budgets, discounts, and related investments
• Maintain accurate pricing, promotional, customer, and trade-marketing data
• Monitor consumer behavior, competitive activity, and category trends
• Support product launches, sales incentives, trade shows, and customer initiatives
• Coordinate projects across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Digital, and other departments
• Improve reporting processes to increase efficiency, visibility, and data accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in trade marketing, sales analytics, sales operations, business analysis, financial analysis, category management, marketing analytics, or a related area preferred
• Experience in consumer products, retail, manufacturing, distribution, or consumer packaged goods is helpful
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong PowerPoint skills
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into practical business recommendations
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder requests
• Proactive and collaborative work style
• Ability to work onsite five days per week
• Willingness to travel approximately 6–8 times per year for short trade-show trips

Candidates with direct trade-marketing experience are encouraged to apply, but transferable experience in sales operations, financial analysis, category management, consumer insights, retail, distribution, or consumer packaged goods may also be considered.
