Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $21–$30/hour, based on experience

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a skilled Welder to join an established manufacturing company in Pulaski, NY.

The ideal candidate will have previous welding experience and be comfortable working with MIG, TIG, and/or flux-core welding. Experience with ASME pressure vessels, boilers, or piping is highly desirable, but candidates with a strong welding background, good work habits, and the ability to learn are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

• Perform MIG, TIG, and flux-core welding on pressure-retaining and non-pressure components
• Weld boiler shells, piping, headers, pressure vessels, and related assemblies
• Read fabrication drawings, weld symbols, work instructions, and welding procedures
• Complete fit-up, tacking, and welding while maintaining required tolerances
• Inspect welds and correct issues such as porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, or other discontinuities
• Maintain accurate welding and material traceability documentation
• Assist with preparation for inspections and hydrostatic testing
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures
• Support and mentor less experienced welders as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of welding experience
• Trade school or formal welding training preferred
• MIG, TIG, and/or flux-core welding experience
• Ability to read drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication documentation
• ASME Section IX welding qualifications or pressure-vessel welding experience are highly desirable
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong quality standards

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing and walking, bending and stooping, and the ability to handle up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally with appropriate lifting equipment. Candidates must also be able to wear a respirator when required and work around typical welding fumes and manufacturing conditions.
