Customer Service Representative

Location: East Syracuse, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $19/hour | $20/hour for bilingual Spanish candidates
Education: High school diploma or GED required

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative for an opportunity with an established company in East Syracuse.

This position supports customers throughout North America who call for assistance with products, warranties, service referrals, and general customer service needs. The ideal candidate has prior inbound call center experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide professional, accurate assistance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls professionally and efficiently.
• Identify customer needs and provide accurate information, solutions, or appropriate referrals.
• Connect customers with authorized service providers, including warm transfers when appropriate.
• Provide warranty information and assist with basic product comparisons.
• Direct customers and business partners to the appropriate department or support resource.
• Use internal databases to route inquiries accurately.
• Triage customer complaints and transfer escalated issues to the appropriate representatives.
• Assist with initial troubleshooting and triage for Wi-Fi-enabled or remote-access products.
• Document customer interactions and maintain accurate account records.
• Follow established communication procedures, policies, and call-handling standards.
• Build positive customer relationships and follow up as needed to ensure resolution.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of inbound call center experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Typing speed of approximately 35–45 words per minute.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving, and listening skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of calls while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Spanish/English bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
