Production Test Technician

Syracuse, NY Area | First Shift | $25–$30 per Hour

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Test Technician for a 7+ month assignment with an advanced manufacturing company in the Syracuse area.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting complex equipment, and working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams. The assignment includes paid holidays and a completion bonus.

What You’ll Do

• Test and inspect complex electromechanical products and assemblies during multiple stages of production.
• Review test results to identify failures, performance issues, and recurring trends.
• Diagnose product and equipment problems using electronic test instruments, measurement tools, and computerized test systems.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate test equipment and fixtures.
• Document test results accurately and help improve test procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Read and work from engineering drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Partner with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support new product launches, process improvements, and other manufacturing initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Associate degree, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics, manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field.
• Experience with product testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and documenting results in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment, measurement instruments, diagnostic tools, and computerized testing systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without current or future sponsorship.
