Customer Coordinator
Location: Onsite or Hybrid — 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Pay: $20–$27 per hour, depending on experience
Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an inquisitive, detail-oriented Customer Coordinator who takes initiative and enjoys solving problems. This position serves as an important link between customers, sales representatives, and internal departments, ensuring orders are processed accurately, communications are handled promptly, and customer needs are resolved efficiently.
Reliability and punctuality are essential, as this role supports customers and internal teams during established office hours.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, sales representatives, and internal teams.
- Respond to customer questions and communications promptly and professionally.
- Enter, review, approve, and monitor customer orders submitted manually or electronically through systems such as EDI and ECM.
- Verify order details, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate, complete order processing.
- Coordinate inventory availability and delivery schedules with internal and external teams.
- Route customer communications to the appropriate departments and ensure timely follow-up.
- Partner with the Sales Coordinator to prepare quotes and resolve pricing discrepancies.
- Support Regional Sales Managers and external manufacturing sales representatives.
- Monitor blanket order balances, identify ordering patterns, and communicate when additional action is needed.
- Develop a strong understanding of company products and services.
- Proactively troubleshoot customer concerns and help drive effective solutions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Five years of experience in customer support, order management, inside sales, or a related role preferred.
- At least two to three years of experience using ERP, MRP, or CRM systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and enterprise software such as Epicor.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, inquisitive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
