Setup Technician

Pay: $17–$18 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a mechanically inclined Setup Technician to support assembly production. This position is responsible for preparing production lines, completing equipment changeovers, troubleshooting basic issues, and ensuring each job is set up accurately and ready to run.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily production setups accurately and on schedule.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain presses and other production equipment.
• Confirm the correct blueprints, gauges, components, tooling, and job instructions are available for each production run.
• Perform first-piece checks to verify the line is set up properly.
• Complete required equipment and tooling changeovers.
• Maintain setup kits and ensure they contain the correct tools and instructions.
• Assist with material handling and production support as needed.
• Cross-train in assembly and provide coverage when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company procedures and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of related manufacturing, production, setup, or mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and established processes.
• Basic math, computer, and electrical knowledge.
• Familiarity with arbor presses and pneumatic presses preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
