Buyer | Manufacturing | Oneida, NY

Sapphire Recruitment is hiring a Buyer for a manufacturing company in Oneida, NY. This is a great opportunity for a purchasing professional who enjoys working with vendors, managing materials, and helping keep production on schedule.

• Monday-Friday: Full-time, daytime schedule

• $40 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Purchase materials, supplies, parts, and services needed for manufacturing operations
• Review inventory levels, production needs, and purchasing requirements
• Place and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status
• Work with production, inventory, planning, and operations teams to prevent material shortages
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor information
• Assist with cost comparisons, supplier quotes, and process improvements
• Resolve order, invoice, delivery, or quality issues as needed

Qualifications:

• Prior purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or buyer experience preferred
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
• Comfortable using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Professional, dependable, and able to work well with vendors and internal teams
