Facilities Maintenance Electrician
1st Shift:                                                                                                  $38/hr 

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Electrician for a first-shift opportunity. This role requires a strong electrical background and hands-on experience supporting facility and manufacturing equipment.

The Facilities Maintenance Electrician will perform advanced electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and systems. This position also supports plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, plant air systems, and general facility maintenance. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, reading blueprints and schematics, troubleshooting complex issues, and completing projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include:

  • Install, modify, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and facility systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance based on manufacturer specifications and internal schedules
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and take corrective action
  • Support HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, plant air, and facility equipment repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Maintain work order and equipment repair records
  • Communicate with equipment suppliers and service providers as needed
  • Recommend process, equipment, and procedure improvements
  • Follow all company safety, employment, and EEO policies

Qualifications:

  • Strong electrical background required; certification is not required
  • 6–8 years of relevant electrical, mechanical, facilities, maintenance, safety, or quality experience
  • Manufacturing facility experience preferred
  • Associate degree, trade school training, HVAC certification, journeyman-level experience, or equivalent background preferred
  • Experience with low- and high-voltage electrical plant systems
  • Ability to use advanced test equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting, project planning, math, and computer skills
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift heavy materials regularly
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, vendors, and service providers
  • Ability to train others as needed
