Experienced Welder – MIG/TIG

Sherrill, NY | Contract-to-Hire | $23.50–$25.38/hr

Briggs & Stratton is growing, and we are looking for experienced Welders to join the production team in Sherrill. This is a strong opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality work, wants steady hours, and is looking for a path into a long-term role with a well-known leader in commercial power equipment manufacturing.

Available Shifts

A Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: $23.50/hr

B Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 7:30 PM–6:00 AM
Pay: $25.38/hr

Overtime may be available, including Fridays.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll support the fabrication team by welding components used in commercial lawn mower production. Responsibilities include:

• Performing MIG and TIG welding on manufactured components

• Welding in various positions to ensure strong, durable finished products

• Setting machine voltage and wire speeds to achieve proper fusion

• Maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Following safety procedures and keeping your work area organized

• Working as part of a team focused on production, quality, and safety

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of MIG/TIG welding experience preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stay active throughout the shift

• Strong attendance and reliability

• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• A safety-focused mindset and willingness to work as part of a team
