Quality Assurance Specialist
Opportunities available on 1st shift and 3rd shift
Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, plus 15 percent shift differential for all 3rd shift hours
Schedule: Shifts are typically four 10-hour days. Candidates must be flexible to work different days of the week and a 5-day schedule when needed.
Sapphire Recruitment is seeking Quality Assurance Specialists for a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. These roles are ideal for detail-oriented professionals who enjoy being hands-on in production, solving problems, supporting compliance, and helping teams maintain high standards in a regulated setting.
This position works closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Process Control teams to support day-to-day operations, documentation, investigations, training, and continuous improvement efforts.
What You’ll Do
- Support manufacturing teams on the production floor with quality, technical, and compliance-related needs
- Assist with troubleshooting production issues, equipment concerns, workflow challenges, and process deviations
- Prepare, update, and review GMP documentation such as SOPs, batch records, logbooks, and related records
- Support investigations, CAPAs, change controls, audits, and compliance reviews
- Help collect and review production and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Partner with cross-functional teams on equipment qualification, validation, maintenance coordination, and process improvements
- Train production employees on procedures, equipment updates, and process changes
- Promote a strong safety, quality, and compliance culture in cleanroom and controlled manufacturing areas
What We’re Looking For
- 1 to 3+ years of quality assurance experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or another regulated manufacturing environment is required
- Working knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated production setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing needs
- Comfortable working on-site in manufacturing areas, including cleanrooms or controlled environments
- Flexibility to support occasional weekend, off-shift, or critical production needs
- Experience with sterile or aseptic operations, biologics, batch records, LIMS, inventory systems, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods is a plus.
