Mower Test Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm
Pay: $24–$26/hour, depending on experience

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Mower Test Technician to support the operation, testing, and basic maintenance of commercial mowing equipment. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has mechanical aptitude, and is comfortable operating both sit-down and stand-on mowers.

What You’ll Do

• Operate mowing equipment in outdoor test conditions to evaluate performance, handling, and functionality
• Perform basic mower maintenance, adjustments, inspections, and light troubleshooting
• Assist with equipment tear-downs, blade sharpening, and post-test cleaning
• Document mower performance, maintenance activity, and any equipment concerns
• Keep tools, equipment, and the work area clean, organized, and safe
• Identify and report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or performance problems
• Support additional projects and department needs as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Experience operating lawn mowers, outdoor power equipment, or similar machinery
• Basic mechanical skills and comfort using hand tools
• Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow safety procedures
• Clear communication skills and ability to report findings accurately
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and sit or stand for extended periods while operating equipment
