Transit Survey Associate / 62379
$25/hour, short-term May 20–23

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking three outgoing and dependable individuals for a short-term Transit Survey Project in Rochester. This role involves riding public buses and engaging with passengers to complete transportation surveys.

Position Overview:

• Ride assigned bus routes and ask passengers to complete a brief survey (7–10 minutes)
• Distribute and collect paper surveys using provided materials
• Provide participants with a complimentary bus day pass upon completion
• Travel between bus routes as needed throughout the day
• Work closely with the project lead initially, then independently once trained

Schedule Details:

• Start time: 6:45 AM (bus departs at 7:00 AM)
• Typical hours: 7:00 AM–5:00/6:00 PM (Wednesday & Thursday are full days, Friday is still to be determined)
• Saturday: shorter shift (approximately 4 hours, must be available until noon)
• Friday may be optional depending on project needs
• Candidates must be available for full-day shifts

Training:

• One-hour virtual training via Microsoft Teams prior to project start (scheduled based on availability)
• On-site guidance provided on the first route

Qualifications:

• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with the public
• Strong customer service mindset
• Ability to work in diverse environments and remain on your feet throughout the day
• Comfortable boarding, exiting, and moving between buses
• Experience using public transportation is a plus

Additional Details:

• Lunch reimbursement up to $15 with receipt
• Parking reimbursement available (details provided during training)
