Assistant Maintenance Manager (85-95K)  

We are hiring an Assistant Maintenance Manager in the Syracuse, NY area to support a high performing maintenance team in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

This is a 1st shift, direct hire opportunity with strong visibility and growth potential.

Your Role:
  • Lead a team of mechanics driving equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.
  • Provide leadership to maintenance mechanics, setting expectations, coaching performance, and ensuring high quality execution of maintenance activities.
  • Drive preventive maintenance programs with a strong emphasis on mechanical systems reliability.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts, especially on complex mechanical failures, ensuring rapid response and long-term corrective actions.
  • Support plant uptime and performance by prioritizing and coordinating daily maintenance activities across production lines.
  • Assist in maintenance planning, scheduling, and parts management, ensuring efficient use of labor and resources.
  • Support capital projects, equipment installs, and upgrades, with a focus on mechanical integration and long-term maintainability.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of Supervisory / Management experience.
