Applications / Test Engineer (62-85K)

We are seeking an Applications / Test Engineer to work for an industry leading manufacturer in the Binghamton, NY area. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Key Duties include:         
Design & Build Test Equipment:

• Develop custom test systems from concept through build
• Define system requirements and integrate custom components
• Participate in hands-on assembly, integration, and validation

Test Fixture Development:

• Collaborate with Tool Design and Engineering teams to create production-ready test fixtures
• Translate product drawings into functional testing requirements and specifications

Test System Software Development:

• Develop software for: Test execution & runtime control, recipe management, and calibration processes
• Utilize tools like VB, LabVIEW, Python, and SQL

Engineering Support:

• Support Design & Process Engineering with test method development
• Ensure products meet performance, quality, and compliance standards

 Education, Experience, and Requirements:

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field (with co-op/internship experience)
• Will also consider an AAS + 3–7 years in test engineering/technician role
• Exposure to test equipment, automation, or controls systems
• Electrical/mechanical systems integration
• Programming experience (VB, LabVIEW, Python, SQL) is a strong plus
