HR Generalist
Location: Syracuse, NY (Onsite)
Compensation: $72,000 – $89,000
A growing organization in the Syracuse area is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations across both office and production environments. This is a highly visible role working directly with employees and managers on a wide range of HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary HR contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues
- Support employee relations, including handling concerns and partnering with managers
- Administer leave programs (FMLA, disability, PFL) and maintain compliance
- Coordinate recruiting efforts, including job postings, screening, and interview scheduling
- Maintain HRIS data, employee records, and HR documentation
- Assist with onboarding, employee communications, and HR processes
- Support workers’ compensation and safety-related HR activities
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives and special projects
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of HR experience in a generalist or HRBP-type role
- Strong experience with employee relations and leave administration
- Exposure to recruiting and HR operations
- Experience in manufacturing or a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- HRIS experience preferred
