SharePoint Developer – Microsoft Solutions
Remote | Eastern Time Zone Required
Full-Time | 37.5 Hours/Week | 12-Month Contract
$45-60/hr DOE

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a SharePoint Developer for a remote contract opportunity supporting a Microsoft Solutions team within a large public-sector organization. This role will focus on SharePoint Online administration, development, user support, and managing an active backlog of support requests.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can step in quickly, work independently, and provide strong technical support in a fast-paced Microsoft 365 environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve SharePoint support tickets in a timely, organized manner
  • Provide day-to-day SharePoint administration, including site management, permissions, and user support
  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, workflows, and custom solutions
  • Support site archival efforts and new site setup/configuration
  • Assist with transitioning SharePoint-based processes to other systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within SharePoint Online
  • Identify practical process improvements to enhance system functionality
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 3+ years of hands-on SharePoint Online experience
  • Strong experience with SharePoint administration, including permissions, site management, and document libraries
  • Experience developing and customizing solutions in a Microsoft 365 environment
  • Ability to manage high-volume support queues and competing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and customer service mindset
  • Ability to work independently and use sound judgment when resolving issues
  • Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical users

Preferred:

  • Experience with SharePoint site archival and content migration
  • Experience transitioning SharePoint-based processes to other platforms
  • Familiarity with Power Automate or similar workflow tools
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives
  • Prior public-sector or government IT experience
