Equipment Maintenance Technician – 2nd & Off Shifts

Sapphire Recruitment is hiring experienced Equipment Maintenance Technicians to support a high-volume manufacturing operation. This role is ideal for hands-on technicians who thrive in fast-paced industrial environments and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment.

Pay & Shift Details

• $29–$35/hour, depending on experience
• 10% shift differential
• Openings:
  • 1 position – 2nd Shift
    • Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM–12:30 AM
    • Every other Friday: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
  • 1 position – Off Shift (2nd, 3rd, Weekend Days, or Weekend Nights)
• Overtime and weekend availability required

Job Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Work on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
• Diagnose equipment issues and complete emergency repairs to minimize downtime
• Install, adjust, and replace defective parts and components
• Complete PMs and work order documentation (paper and electronic)
• Communicate open issues across shifts and with maintenance leadership
• Coordinate with third-party vendors when needed
• Follow all safety, environmental, and chemical handling procedures
• Participate in ongoing technical training and cross-department skill development

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with motors, relays, sensors, control circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
• Comfortable using computers for work orders and communication
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in confined or overhead spaces
• Willingness to work alternative shifts, weekends, and overtime
• Must provide basic personal hand tools
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5–7+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
• Background in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or welding strongly preferred
• Licenses or journeyman status a plus
