Assistant Project Manager – Social Media
Location: Hybrid - Albany, NY
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Payrate: $30-40/hr DOE
Duration: 12-month contract with potential extension

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Social Media to support a mission-driven organization focused on energy and sustainability initiatives. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented professional who can manage social content, support campaigns, and help maintain a strong digital presence across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage social media content including posts, captions, graphics, reels, and stories

  • Maintain content calendars and schedule posts across platforms

  • Adapt messaging to fit different audiences while maintaining brand consistency

  • Monitor social media trends, engagement, and platform updates

  • Support online engagement through comments, messages, and mentions

  • Track content performance and provide reporting insights

  • Collaborate with internal teams on campaigns, initiatives, and communications

  • Use social media management tools to organize and execute content plans

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field

  • Experience creating and managing social media content

  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills

  • Knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Experience with social media scheduling or analytics tools is preferred
