Assistant Project Manager – Social Media
Location: Hybrid - Albany, NY
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Payrate: $30-40/hr DOE
Duration: 12-month contract with potential extension
Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Social Media to support a mission-driven organization focused on energy and sustainability initiatives. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented professional who can manage social content, support campaigns, and help maintain a strong digital presence across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities:
Create and manage social media content including posts, captions, graphics, reels, and stories
Maintain content calendars and schedule posts across platforms
Adapt messaging to fit different audiences while maintaining brand consistency
Monitor social media trends, engagement, and platform updates
Support online engagement through comments, messages, and mentions
Track content performance and provide reporting insights
Collaborate with internal teams on campaigns, initiatives, and communications
Use social media management tools to organize and execute content plans
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field
Experience creating and managing social media content
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
Knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience with social media scheduling or analytics tools is preferred
