Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a skilled Welder to support a precision manufacturing operation in Syracuse, NY. This role focuses primarily on TIG welding (approximately 95%), with some MIG welding, and supports both assembly and machine shop production.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
(30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on pressure vessels, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies

• Produce helium-tight welds that meet strict quality standards

• Prepare and manage materials including tubes, caps, and work-in-process components

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions

• Use welding tools and equipment such as grinders, weld positioners, regulators, and measuring instruments

• Maintain accurate production and quality records

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

• Assist with inventory tracking and general shop support as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Minimum 1 year of TIG welding experience, or technical training with related hands-on experience

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding procedures

• Familiarity with welding tools, materials, and measuring instruments

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
