CNC Machinist – Operator
$24 – $28/hour (DOE)

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Operator to join a precision manufacturing team in Syracuse, NY. This role is responsible for producing high-quality machined components while maintaining strict quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime opportunities available on Saturdays

Key Responsibilities

• Operate multi-pallet horizontal machining centers to produce precision parts

• Load raw materials, unload finished parts, and perform deburring as needed

• Inspect parts and document findings using quality control procedures

• Read and follow standard work instructions and technical documentation

• Identify and report non-conforming materials following proper procedures

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Collaborate with setup machinists to address out-of-spec parts and minimize machine downtime

• Participate in quality improvement efforts, including root cause analysis and corrective actions

• Support continuous improvement practices in daily operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• 5+ years of CNC machining or related manufacturing experience

• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and quality procedures

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
