Manufacturing Associate – Compressor Assembly / 62217
$19.00 – $24.00/hour (DOE)

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a Manufacturing Associate – Compressor Assembly to support a growing production team in Syracuse, NY. This role involves hands-on mechanical assembly and support of compressor and sub-assembly manufacturing processes in a precision production environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
(30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools while following detailed work instructions and quality standards

• Operate production equipment used in compressor and sub-assembly manufacturing

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints

• Complete production and quality documentation to maintain traceability

• Assist with inventory tracking and material handling to support production flow

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace following 5S practices

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals

• Participate in training and cross-training to build technical manufacturing skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• 0–3+ months of related manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience, or equivalent training

• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and instructions

• Experience using hand tools and basic measuring tools

• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, and conversions)

• Mechanical aptitude required; experience with bandsaws or presses is a plus

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
