CNC Machine Operator / 62216
$19–$23/hour (DOE)

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a reliable CNC Machine Operator for a growing manufacturing facility in Syracuse, NY. This role involves operating CNC machines and machining centers to produce precision metal and non-metal components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
(30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications

• Load raw materials and monitor machine operation for accuracy and performance

• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools

• Identify and troubleshoot machining issues such as tool wear or out-of-tolerance conditions

• Clean, deburr, and properly store finished parts and materials

• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean workspace

• Track and report usage of tooling, supplies, and materials

• Follow all quality procedures and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 1 year of manufacturing or CNC experience, or technical training with related experience

• Ability to use precision measuring instruments

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints (GD&T knowledge a plus)

• Familiarity with G-code programming preferred

• CNC programming experience is a plus
