CNC Machinist – Mill Turn / 62207
$26 – $44/hour (DOE)

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Mill Turn to join a precision manufacturing team producing high-quality components for demanding industries. This role involves setting up and operating advanced multi-axis CNC equipment while maintaining strict quality and productivity standards.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: Typically 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (flexibility for 6:00 AM start)

• 2nd Shift Option: 2:00 PM start, 4 days per week
  Overtime available (typically 5–6+ hours weekly). Overtime paid after 8 hours/day on 1st shift and 10 hours/day on 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC mill-turn machines, including equipment with sub-spindles and pallet systems

• Read and interpret complex blueprints, shop travelers, and operation sketches

• Install fixtures, set work offsets, and prepare tooling using offline tool presetters

• Inspect parts to specification and accurately document results

• Monitor machining processes and adjust offsets to maintain quality standards

• Identify and report tooling, machine, or quality issues to supervisors

• Operate multiple machining centers as needed to support production flow

• Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and productivity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification preferred

• Experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC mill-turn machines

• Ability to read complex blueprints and work with GD&T

• Strong understanding of G-code; programming experience a plus

• Experience performing manual inspections and using precision measuring tools

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with low-volume, high-mix production is a plus
