Technical Business Analyst 
$30-40/hr DOE
Location: Albany, NY - onsite role
Term: 3-year contract opportunity

A mission-driven energy/innovation organization is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to serve as the functional bridge between business users and IT for an Oracle PeopleSoft-based ERP. You’ll be the go-to point person for resolving issues fast, improving workflows, and keeping business moving.

What you’ll do

• Evaluate processes, document requirements/specs, and implement practical improvements
• Administer ERP access/security (including workflow security) for onboarding/offboarding + support SSO issues
• Own daily triage of ERP issues impacting invoices, contracts, collaborations, and more; manage tickets, errors, customizations, and SQL updates
• Maintain and update workflows as processes evolve
• Partner closely with IT and the system vendor to drive reliable, cost-effective solutions
• Support enhancements, reporting, and UAT; help coordinate upgrades/patches/fixes
• Build/run ad hoc + recurring reports/queries for leaders and teams; help users design reports
• Coordinate with Finance to apply funding code changes to purchase orders

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years Business Analyst experience  
• Strong functional troubleshooting in financial/contracting systems (Oracle PeopleSoft strongly preferred)
• Experience with user access/workflow security and UAT
• Detail-obsessed, high follow-through, strong customer service orientation, able to juggle multiple priorities
• Tools: Microsoft 365, SharePoint/Teams, Salesforce, Tableau; Jira/Confluence; Adobe
• Bachelor’s-level experience/education in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
