Estimator – CNC Machining & Fabrication
Pay: $27.00–$38.00/hr

• Entry Level (with machinist experience): $27–$33/hr
• Experienced Estimator: $32–$38/hr

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:45am–3:15pm

A manufacturer supporting OEM customers is seeking an Estimator to quote CNC machining, sheet fabrication, and welded parts/assemblies. Ideal for someone with strong shop-floor experience ready to apply hands-on production knowledge to quoting and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review part prints/models to confirm fit with manufacturing capabilities

• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, weld symbols, finishes, and customer specs

• Build BOMs and routings; estimate using Paperless Parts (model-based) and manual methods when needed

• Validate labor assumptions against real shop processes; enter/manage quotes in ERP + Paperless Parts

• Obtain pricing for material, hardware, and outside processing (with purchasing support)

• Identify manufacturability/tolerance concerns and escalate complex issues

• Partner with production leads to validate cycle times, setups, and first-time build approach for complex work

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on manufacturing/skilled trades (CNC machining, fabrication, welding, or related)

• Strong blueprint reading + GD&T skills; practical understanding of machining, sheet metal, and welded assemblies

• Strong communicator; able to collaborate with sales, engineering, production, and customers

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; organized and able to manage multiple RFQs

Preferred

• JobBoss2 or similar ERP; Paperless Parts

• SolidWorks/Fusion360 or similar CAD

• Defense/aerospace familiarity (FAI, source inspection, ITAR)

• Experience estimating complex fabricated or machined assemblies
