Quality Engineer (70-90K)

We are looking to hire a Quality Engineer to work for a prestigious Manufacturer in the North Syracuse, NY area.

As a Quality Engineer you will work directly with manufacturing, suppliers, and field teams to drive corrective actions, inspections, and continuous improvement.

Duties include:

• Lead corrective actions for field and supplier quality issues (8D / 5-Why).
• Own Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) from start to finish.
• Inspect products to drawings and ASME code requirements.
• Inspect imported components and finished goods; review MTRs and markings.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits (ASME / NBIC).
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and prevent recurrence.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• ASME shop experience preferred (Sec I / IV / VIII).
• Strong root cause & corrective action skills.
• Comfortable in a hands-on, shop-floor environment.
• Willingness to travel ~10–15%.

Additional Plus if you have:

• ASQ CQE/CQA, AWS/CWI, NDT exposure, Mandarin or Spanish.
