Field Service Technician (POS Systems) – Travel-Based | OKLAHOMA
Pay: 16.50–19.50/hour DOE 
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm + rotating on-call (about 1x/month)

Are you hands-on, mechanically inclined, and great with customers? We’re hiring a Field Service Technician based out of Edmond, OK.. This is a field-based role supporting Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for independent grocery stores and gas stations across Oklahoma. 

Company vehicle provided—you’ll drive to customer sites and work directly with store teams to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and perform installs. Significant overnight travel is expected during the first 3-6 months for training purposes.

What You’ll Do

  • Travel to customer locations across Oklahoma to service and install POS equipment

  • Diagnose issues to the root-cause component level

  • Repair/replace PC components and peripherals; troubleshoot POS networks and connected devices

  • Complete installation work and hands-on hardware/mechanical tasks (power tools, mounting, cabling, etc.)

  • Provide strong face-to-face customer service, set expectations, and communicate clearly

  • Handle service calls, courtesy check-ins when call volume is light, and documentation for all work completed

  • Maintain the company vehicle and manage local parts/inventory (ship/receive equipment as needed)

  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours/weekend service needs when scheduled

On-Call Pay (Incentives)

  • Premium pay for being on-call

  • Time-and-a-half for on-call service work

  • Shift differential for work after 8:00pm and on weekends

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma and/or experience in a computer/technical role

  • Valid, active driver’s license and comfort with frequent driving/travel

  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand/power tools (hardware/field work is a big part of this job)

  • Strong customer service skills and professionalism in face-to-face environments

  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage priorities in a fast-paced territory

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Helpful (Not Required)

  • Experience supporting POS systems 

  • Telecom/field service technician background 

  • Experience building/repairing computers, help desk foundations, or technical troubleshooting

  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

  • Walking, bending, repetitive motion; use of hand tools/test equipment

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to climb ladders
