Hybrid Customer Service Representative (Call Center) – Contract (6–12 Months)
Pay: $22–$25/hour
Location: Hybrid role based out of New Brunswick, NJ
Residency Requirement: Candidates must reside in New York State and be close enough to drive to the New Brunswick, NJ office twice per month.


Sapphire Recruitment is hiring 3 Customer Service Representatives to support energy efficiency and clean energy incentive programs.
You’ll handle inbound/outbound calls and email inquiries, provide program guidance, and help ensure a smooth, positive customer experience.

What you’ll do

• Answer inbound/outbound calls and respond to customer emails
• Explain program benefits, eligibility, and participation steps
• Document interactions, complete accurate data entry, and track requests to resolution
• Schedule appointments and use CRM/scheduling tools to manage cases
• Support administrative tasks and assist other program call queues as needed

Shift options (weekdays) – one position available for each shift

• 8:00 AM–4:30/5:00 PM
• 8:30 AM–5:00/5:30 PM
• 10:00/10:30 AM–7:00 PM

Hybrid requirements

• Must be able to drive to 317 George Street, Suite 520, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. 
• You will need to be on-site once per month (8 hours) and at least once per quarter for in-person training (may be more as needed)

What we’re looking for

• Call center experience (inbound/outbound)
• Strong communication, active listening, and de-escalation skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organization, multitasking, and follow-through
• Comfortable with data entry, typing, and learning new systems (MS Office required)
• High school diploma/GED required

Nice to haves, these are all a strong plus:

• Utility/energy-related call center experience
• CRM familiarity
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Trade background (HVAC/electrical/contractor)
• Associate’s/bachelor’s degree.

This is a contract role expected to last 6–12 months but may offer the possibility to be hired on.
