$23–$25 per hour
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Sapphire Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturer to hire a hands-on Motor Lab Technician for a full-time, first-shift contract role in Syracuse, NY.

What You’ll Do

• Operate motor test lab equipment, including high-voltage test cells (up to 700 VAC)

• Build, test, tear down, and reassemble electric motors and components

• Follow and help develop test procedures to meet regulatory and customer requirements

• Set up and execute lab tests in collaboration with senior engineers

• Document and organize test data and results for engineering teams and customers

• Support and guide junior staff or interns on lab procedures and safety

• Maintain a safe, organized lab environment

What We’re Looking For

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology (or related field)

• 1+ year of experience in an electrical test lab environment

• Experience with lab equipment such as power analyzers, oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, thermocouples, and hi-pot testers

• Ability to read motor wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings

• Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude

• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Familiarity with SolidWorks or other solid modeling software is a plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
