Commercial Insurance Account Manager
Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM

Our client is a well-established, independent insurance agency in Syracuse serving commercial clients nationwide. This is a direct-hire, permanent role created due to a planned retirement, offering a rare opportunity to step into a stable book of business with strong training and support.

The agency is known for its team-oriented, low-drama culture, excellent benefits, and genuine work-life balance. This is a non-sales role focused on servicing and supporting commercial accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Producers and the Marketing team in servicing commercial lines accounts while minimizing E&O exposure
  • Process:
  • Renewals
  • Endorsements
  • Policy changes and cancellations
  • Certificates, ID cards, billing requests, claims, and deposit premiums
  • Review new business, renewals, and endorsements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain and manage client files within the agency management system
  • Partner with Commercial Lines Assistants to ensure high-quality service and accurate processing
  • Follow agency workflows, procedures, and documentation standards
  • Maintain diary/follow-up systems for outstanding items and service requests
  • Participate in ongoing training, licensing education, and special projects
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to support agency-wide goals Performance Expectations
    • Deliver prompt, professional, and cooperative customer service
    • Provide consistent support and constructive feedback to internal team members and carriers
    • Maintain a high standard of accuracy, organization, and responsiveness
    Qualifications
    • Commercial Lines insurance experience strongly preferred
    • Personal Lines experience will be considered with transferable skills
    • New York State Broker or Producer License required
    • Exceptional candidates without a license may be supported in obtaining one
  • Approximately 3+ years of insurance experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a computer-based, email-driven environment
  • Positive attitude and collaborative mindset Compensation & Benefits
    • $55,000–$75,000
