Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $35.00–$40.00/hour DOE
A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support and lead site-wide safety and environmental compliance efforts.
This onsite role reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for driving EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe, healthy workplace for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, implement, and track EHS programs, documentation, compliance requirements, and ESG initiatives
- Research and coordinate effective programs and/or vendors to promote a hazard-free work environment
- Conduct incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Perform safety audits and inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment; identify and resolve hazards
- Maintain internal and external EHS records, regulatory reporting, and site incident documentation
- Compile and report EHS metrics, including analysis, tracking, and trend reporting
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies (air, water, storm water, waste, etc.) including inspections, permitting, and reporting
- Assist with workers’ compensation claims as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related science field preferred
- 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- CSP certification preferred
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred
- Training/facilitation experience; SAP experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
