Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 base salary + potential annual bonus
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (flexible start/end times)
Our client is a well-established healthcare services organization supporting a large, multi-division operation across New York State. The organization provides critical administrative, financial, and operational support to healthcare-related business units and is known for its stability, long-term employee tenure, and strong internal culture.
This role sits within a growing accounting team supporting a healthcare-focused business unit and offers long-term stability, leadership opportunity, and exposure to a complex, high-volume environment.
The Accounting Supervisor will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and serve as a key support partner to the Accounting Manager. This role combines hands-on accounting work with team leadership and process oversight. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting fundamentals, experience supervising staff, and the ability to operate in a structured, compliance-driven environment.
This is a fully onsite position based in East Syracuse, NY.
Supervise and support a small team of accounting clerks
Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, invoicing, and reconciliations
Manage biweekly billing cycles and support accurate, timely invoice processing
Partner with Accounts Payable on invoice uploads and payment processing
Prepare and review general ledger entries and monthly account reconciliations
Review daily deposits and monitor cash activity
Oversee client billing issues and assist with collections and payment plans
Coordinate and lead regular team meetings
Support month-end close and audit preparation
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
Assist in training, development, and performance management of accounting staff
Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
Prior experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a supervisory or lead role
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, AR/AP, and reconciliations
Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated environments is a plus
Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Base Salary: $60,000–$70,000 (flexibility for strong candidates)
Bonus: Annual profit-sharing opportunity (typically $5K–$10K)
