Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Master Mechanic for a leading manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a seasoned maintenance professional who excels in troubleshooting, equipment installation, fabrication, and preventative maintenance across a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, dismantle, and rebuild a wide range of machinery and auxiliary equipment.

• Maintain air compressors, HVAC units, lighting systems, and air circulation equipment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams; assess job requirements and determine necessary tools and materials.

• Fabricate sheet metal and structural components such as guards, stairs, platforms, conveyors, and supports.

• Weld common materials with strong quality and appearance standards.

• Use industrial shop tools, millwright equipment, and electronic testing devices including volt/ohm meters, amp meters, and micrometers.

• Keep accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.

• Maintain clean, orderly work areas and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

• Work independently, communicate effectively with peers and supervisors, and support production needs across departments.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of maintenance mechanic experience in an industrial setting.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, AC/DC motors, transmission systems, line control equipment, and electronic components.

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.

• Competence in basic math, computer use, and reading technical documents.

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues logically and efficiently.

• Must be safety-conscious, self-motivated, professional, and able to work with limited supervision.

• Must be able to work around occupational hazards including noise, chemicals, and energized 480V circuits with appropriate PPE.
