We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support equitable clean energy program development and community engagement initiatives. This position plays a key role in shaping policies and programs that advance environmental justice and increase access to clean energy in historically underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate equity into clean energy programs
- Lead stakeholder engagement efforts in disadvantaged communities across NYS
- Research, evaluate, and recommend best practices for inclusive program design
- Develop partnerships with environmental justice organizations and local leaders
- Manage strategic projects aligned with equity and climate goals
- Support community-based organization compensation and engagement efforts
- Translate technical information into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
- Track and document collaborative efforts and emerging opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree and 10–15+ years of relevant experience in clean energy and/or community planning
- Strong knowledge of energy efficiency, distributed energy, and climate equity
- Experience with community outreach, engagement facilitation, and program development
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce, Confluence, and Oracle/PeopleSoft a plus
- Organized, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
