1st Shift (flexible start between 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM)

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for a first-shift opportunity with a leading precision manufacturing company east of Syracuse, NY. This role involves programming and operating multi-axis CNC equipment, setting up machining operations, and supporting process improvements in a high-quality, AS9100-compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines

• Develop machining strategies, select tools, design fixtures, and optimize part holding

• Interpret blueprints and 3D CAD models; apply GD&T practices

• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support continuous improvement

• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams

• Create training materials and mentor machine operators

• Ensure compliance with ISO and AS9100 standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred

• 3–5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience

• Proficiency in G-code, 3D modeling software, and motion control systems

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Experience with CMM programming a plus
