Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Senior Electrical Distribution Technician to join a high-performing utility operations team. In this hands-on field role, you’ll install, maintain, and operate medium-voltage (up to 15kV) overhead and underground electrical distribution systems that power critical infrastructure at a major technology and business hub.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems

• Perform cable splicing, terminations, and switching

• Operate utility equipment such as digger derricks and trenchers

• Maintain and inspect transformers, switchgear, breakers, and fuses

• Respond to outages, isolate faults, and restore power

• Support emergency response operations, including after-hours work

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 4+ years of experience in medium-voltage utility work (or equivalent)

• Valid CDL Class A or B (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

• Proficient in electrical diagrams, switching procedures, and safety protocols

• Knowledge of OSHA, NESC, and NFPA 70E standards

Work Conditions:

• Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather

• Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), confined space entry, and elevated work

• May include rotating shifts, callouts, and extended hours during outages
