Electrical Engineer – Utility (80-120K)

Due to expansion and growth, we are looking to hire an Electrical Engineer to join a premier utility provider in the Utica/Rome NY area.

This is a unique opportunity to join a close-knit, technically skilled team delivering underground utility services to a wide array of tenants, from advanced manufacturers to technology startups.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support Senior Engineers with the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for electric utility infrastructure projects.
• Perform electrical system analysis and studies and prepare technical reports.
• Perform field inspections, data collection, and electrical system evaluations.
• Assist field operations staff with troubleshooting and providing technical support.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external clients to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and applicable utility standards.

Education and Experience:

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• 1-4 years of Electric Design Engineering experience.
• Will also consider internships or academic experience in electrical systems, power distribution, or utilities.
• Understanding of power distribution systems, transformers, conduit layouts, etc.
• Project coordination or design–build project exposure is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or GIS tools.
