Direct Impact: You are the go-to person for payroll questions, helping employees navigate their benefits, leave, and pay with confidence.
Payroll Execution: Administer and process accurate biweekly payroll for multiple employee groups.
Data Integrity: Manage time approvals, data entry, auditing, and the processing of garnishments and benefit deductions.
Compliance Mastery: Ensure all processes align with labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and internal controls.
Reporting & Analysis: Utilize reporting software to generate essential payroll reports for internal audits and external compliance.
Employee Support: Collaborate across departments to clarify payroll processes and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Experience: At least 3 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS systems and common payroll tools (experience with Ellucian Colleague or Banner is a major plus!).
Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of federal and state payroll tax regulations and compliance standards.
Soft Skills: Excellent organizational habits, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive data with total discretion.
